Catwalk - Swedish Fashion Illustration

Fashion illustration is back on the glossy pages of international magazines, and Swedish artists can be found among the most successful illustrators in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle and the whole range of new lifestyle magazines. In the book Catwalk, a selection of Swedish fashion illustrators from the 1940's until today is presented with their artwork and short biographies. Complementary the book contains a couple of texts about the history of fashion illustration, about Swedish illustrators working internationally today, and about a young artist's debut as fashion illustrator in the New Look Paris of 1947. The texts are written by Lotta Lewenhaupt, senior editor at Swedish Elle, Laird Borrelli, American fashion historian, and Kerstin Thorvall, Swedish fashion illustrator and novelist.
